Checklist for Fall 2020 First Year Students
1. Check Your BSU Email Account
Start to use your BSU email today! It was sent from BSU Accounts (BSUAccounts@bridgew.edu) to the personal email address provided in your application.
IMPORTANT: update your personal email from your BSU admissions account portal with your NEW BSU email address - not doing this will result in not moving forward in completing the remaining steps and missed information.

2. Complete Placement Testing
To be eligible to move on to the course registration process, placement testing in Math and writing must be completed.
If you have a documented disability and need to request testing accommodations, please contact Disability Resources at 508.531.2194 or Disability_Resources@bridgew.edu.
3. Complete Your Course Registration Process
Please watch the recorded PAW sessions to prepare for and learn about the registration process. These PAW sessions can be easily accessed on the orientation website.
If you have any trouble with what you learned from the recorded PAW sessions, like navigating InfoBear or DegreeWorks, drop into a PAW Pitstop. The PAW Pitstop is an opportunity to ask a current BSU student your questions about registration and the systems you’ll use to register. The Pitstop Team meets every Tuesdays and Thursdays via Zoom. You can join by going to the student orientation website.
Schedule an appointment with an academic advisor. You will receive an email in the coming weeks from the Academic Achievement Center to schedule your 1:1 advising appointment. Please continue to monitor your BSU email.
Create your schedule in preparation for your 1 on 1 appointment!
You are now officially cleared to select and register your Fall 2020 classes.
4. Download the BSU Mobile App and Join the New Bears Wall
The BSU Mobile App includes access to campus resources, your class schedule, campus map and more.
You can log in on the app as soon as you have your BSU User Account! Use your full email address and your newly created password to see all the features.
Once you log in:
Navigate to Campus Services (the second tab)
Scroll to the “New Bears” section
Select “New First Year” tile
Then “Join the New Student Wall” to connect to your fellow New Bears!
8. Complete the Beginning College Survey of Student Engagement (BCSSE)
Complete this survey as soon as you are able and no later than Sept. 2.
Instructions will be sent to your BSU email (refer to step 1).
9. Attend Crimson & White Days
The Bear community is awaiting your arrival!
Crimson & White Days connect you to your fellow classmates, BSU student leaders and the greater BSU community.
Crimson & White Days take place on August 12 or 13.
Your Crimson & White Day will be assigned and sent to your BSU email (refer to step 1) in July.
10. Submit Final High School Transcript and AP Scores
Final high school transcript must be received as soon as possible and no later than September 2, 2020.
Have your transcript sent to email@example.com or by mail to the Office of Admission Welcome Center, 45 Plymouth Street, Bridgewater, MA 02325.
Do you have AP scores? Depending on the score, you can earn college credit!
Request CollegeBoard to send your scores directly using code #3517 for BSU.
11. Complete the SPARC Course
Complete SPARC: The Sexual and Interpersonal Violence Prevention and Response Course will be available on your Blackboard dashboard. Completion of this course is required for all incoming BSU students.
Deadline to complete the course is September 4, 2020.
Instructions will be sent to your BSU email (refer to step 1)with information on how to access the course.
12. Complete Your Student Health Forms
Full-time students must submit a Student Health & Wellness Form to The Wellness Center located in Weygand Hall within 30 days of registering for classes.
