Start a Lucrative Career with a Bachelor’s in Cybersecurity

Learn to fight 21st-century cybercrime in Bridgewater State University’s bachelor’s in cybersecurity and digital forensics program.

As cybercriminals become more sophisticated, the need for highly trained cybersecurity professionals becomes increasingly important. Armed with our cybersecurity degree, you will be ready to start a lucrative and exciting career in cybersecurity. We are committed to training cybersecurity experts and diversifying the field.

Housed in our Computer Science Department, our cybersecurity major is designed in consideration of both the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology, Inc. (ABET) accreditation standards and CAE-CDE designation requirements. This means you will be provided with comprehensive coverage of essential knowledge, technology and skills in both cybersecurity and digital forensics areas.

We offer a threefold approach which includes:

  1. Exceptional classroom learning. Our cybersecurity degree classes are taught by full-time faculty members who have experience in the cybersecurity field and can offer firsthand knowledge about fighting cybercrime.
  2. State-of-the-art facilities. Learn in our new cyber range where you can train to handle real-world-based simulated cyberattacks.
  3. Hands-on internship opportunities. Work alongside cybersecurity professionals as an apprentice in our Security Operations Center (SOC), which is currently being built, and monitor, detect and respond to real cyber attacks.

Upon graduation, you will be able to conduct yourself ethically and work toward solutions in cybersecurity and digital forensics fields by integrating broad knowledge and fundamental skills. Our cybersecurity major sets you on the path to pursue opportunities for professional development and graduate studies through life-long learning.
