Career Events

Career Services programs and events for the current academic year are highlighted below. Employers who wish to attend a job/career fair must submit their requests to attend on Handshake. If you have any questions regarding any of our events, please call our office at (508) 531-1328.

During Fall 2021, Career Services will be hosting a variety of career fairs and recruiting events in a virtual format through our Handshake platform.  Below is our current programming list:

Fall Virtual Campus Interviews: September 29th  – November 12th, 2021

Employers can submit their interview request on Handshake.  Students will apply by your due date giving you the chance to review resumes and make your selections of interview candidates.  You can then schedule your one-on-one interviews via Handshake providing your virtual interview link (Zoom, Teams, etc.) as the “room location” for students.  

MA State Universities Fall Virtual Career Fair Series:

Bridgewater State University is partnering with Fitchburg, Framingham, Salem, Westfield and Worcester State Universities to host a series of 4 industry career fairs allowing you to streamline recruitment efforts and target over 35,000 students from six institutions.  These events will be at no cost, but organizations requesting to attend must have full-time jobs and/or internships in order to attend.

Accounting, Finance and Business Virtual Job & Internship Fair:
Thursday, September 23, 2021: 2:00 – 5:00 pm

This virtual career fair hosted on Handshake will allow you to setup virtual information sessions and one-on-one prescheduled and day-of video chats with interested candidates.  This event will be open to all students and alumni, but will focus on students from the Ricciardi College of Business.  Learn more about their undergraduate and graduate programs https://www.bridgew.edu/academics/colleges-departments/ricciardi-college-business.

Criminal Justice and Government Virtual Job & Internship Fair:
Wednesday, October 13, 2021: 2:00 – 5:00 pm

This virtual career fair hosted on Handshake will allow you to setup virtual information sessions and one-on-one prescheduled and day-of video chats with interested candidates.  This event will be open to all students and alumni, but will focus on students from the College of Humanities and Social Sciences. Humanities, Nonprofit and Social Sciences Virtual Job & Internship Fair: Wednesday, October 27, 2021: 2:00 – 5:00 pm

This virtual career fair hosted on Handshake will allow you to setup virtual information sessions and one-on-one prescheduled and day-of video chats with interested candidates.  This event will be open to all students and alumni, but will focus on students from the College of Humanities and Social Sciences and education related majors from the College of Education and Health Sciences. STEM and Health Sciences Virtual Job & Internship Fair:
Tuesday, November 9, 2021: 2:00 – 5:00 pm

This virtual career fair hosted on Handshake will allow you to setup virtual information sessions and one-on-one prescheduled and day-of video chats with interested candidates.  This event will be open to all students and alumni, but will focus on students from the Bartlett College of Science and Mathematics and health related majors from the College of Education and Health Sciences.  Visit the links to learn more about their undergraduate and graduate programs.

The Internship & Job Fair is a great way for employers to meet a large number of candidates looking for internships and or full time professional positions. This event is open to all Bridgewater State University students, alumni and community members. Past participating employers.
The STEM Career Fair is an opportunity for STEM organizations to network with our students in Math and Sciences to market your full-time, part-time, internship, research, summer and lab technician positions. The majors represented at BSU include: Biology, Chemistry, Computer Science, Geography, Geology, Mathematics and Physics. This event is open to all Bridgewater State University students, alumni and the community. 
The Job & Internship Fair is a great way for employers to meet a large number of potential candidates looking for full-time, professional-level positions as well as internships. Career Services provides a comprehensive marketing effort for the event so that employers can expect to see hundreds of candidates. This event is open to all Bridgewater State University students, alumni and the community. 
The Education Career Fair provides a unique opportunity for hiring personnel from public school districts and education employers across Eastern Massachusetts to meet and network with top teacher candidates from Bridgewater State University and other area colleges and universities.

Practice Interview Program

The Practice Interview Program is a great way for employers to connect with students. Students are given the opportunity to practice their interview skills and to obtain advice from the people who actually do the hiring in organizations and businesses.
