Responsibly Harnessing Artificial Intelligence
The Center for Artificial Intelligence at Bridgewater State University fosters human-centered, equitable, and responsible AI use aligned with the university's mission and strategic goals. The center provides leadership in integrating AI as a tool for human creativity, critical thinking, and productivity, enabling our campus community to shape - rather than simply respond to - the future of work and learning in an AI-integrated world.
Our Vision
To be recognized as a national leader in transformative, people-centered AI innovation - responsibly harnessing Artificial Intelligence to expand opportunities and empower every learner and employee, setting a new standard for human-centered technological change within higher education.
Our Focus
The Center for Artificial Intelligence was formed in 2025 as a central hub for supporting responsible AI adoption across Bridgewater State University. The center focuses on five key areas: AI literacy & professional development, AI ethics & governance, AI & operational enhancement, ethical use of AI in education, and improving the student experience. The center will align AI initiatives with core values and institutional strategic goals to emerge as a leader in responsible AI innovation in Massachusetts public higher education.
