CUBEs

Collaborative University Business Experiences

Funded by Bridgewater State University's 2019-2020 Innovation Grant, the Collaborative University Business Experiences (CUBEs) initiative brings together a team of faculty to explore ways to reinforce career readiness through curriculum. This initiative stimulated the college-wide dialogue about how to collaborate with local businesses and organizations to conduct semester-long/short CUBEs projects.

  • CUBEs projects will help students better prepare for their future careers.
  • Like other high impact practices at BSU, it encourages deep learning and problem solving skill development for students.
  • Through clearly mapping students’ learning outcomes with career skills expected from the real world, students gain a competitive advantage on the job market and more professional confidence.
  • Multiple upper-level undergraduate courses are designed and delivered in an innovative way and include career and professional development orientation.

Although CUBEs collaboration focuses on capstone/research projects embedded in BSU's course design, we also welcome other opportunities to collaborate with employers, such as guest speakers, facility tours, networking events, job shadowing and internships.
