Children’s Physical Developmental Clinic (CPDC)

BSU Clinician with a client

Welcome to Bridgewater State University’s Children’s Physical Developmental Clinic (CPDC). Our nationally recognized program affords students from all majors a rewarding opportunity to volunteer as clinicians and work with children with disabilities, ages 18 months to 18 years. For more than 39 years, quality care and the “total development” of children continues to be the emphasis of our program.

Our mission:

  • Address physical, motor, and social needs of children and youth with disabilities;
  • Enhance aspirations of society by assisting individuals with disabilities to live independent and productive lives;
  • Prepare professionals for teaching, human service, as well as community service and leadership roles;
  • Strengthen the human potential of communities throughout New England.

CPDC’s interdisciplinary team of clinicians works closely with parents for open communication during the program. Through fostering professional development, service learning, and leadership development, CPDC is the largest student organization on campus. If you are interested in learning more about enrolling your child in the clinic, please check out our brochure and contact Sheila Campbell at 508.531.1776 or email cpdc@bridgew.edu.
