Beth Anne Young is a Choral and Classroom Music Specialist. Retired from the public schools, she was a Choral and classroom music specialist for the majority of her teaching career. Mrs. Young is on the Music Department faculty of Bridgewater State University. Mrs. Young has also taught at the Longy School of Music as a Choral Methods Instructor in the Master of Music Education Program where she is also a Program Supervisor for Student Teachers. Mrs. Young is currently Choral Director for Roger Williams University in Bristol, RI. Mrs. Young is the Director and Choral Studies Instructor for the Kodaly Levels Program at George Mason University in Fairfax, VA . She has a Bachelor of Music in Music Education from Susquehanna University in Selinsgrove, PA and a Master of Music in Music Education from the University of Connecticut with an emphasis in Choral Conducting. She completed both her Orff and Kodály Certification at George Mason University. Mrs. Young has presented workshops about the Kodály-Inspired Choral Setting at MMEA, and a Regional and National OAKE Conferences. Mrs. Young currently serves as the Chairperson of the Teacher Education Committee for OAKE and is the Treasurer for BAKE (Boston Area Kodály Educators).
