Jibril Solomon considers teaching and scholarship to be both a passion and vocation. This originated from his own curiosity about human nature and inquisitive interest in biological, psychological and psychosocial phenomena affecting individuals and families’ mental, emotional and social conditions. Biopsychosocial, which interconnects biology, psychology and socio-environmental factors in the quest to understanding and treating human dysfunctions and disorders, is his area of interest and expertise. Dr. Solomon develops and teaches courses as well as conducts research using the biopsychosocial approach. Specifically, human biological aspects of disorder manifestations and social science theoretical perspectives in human behavior and social environment informs his practice. Dr. Solomon connects his background in human biological sciences, education, psychometrics assessment and research in his work. He focuses his teaching on advancing students’ progressive growth through applied learning and case study application. Dr. Solomon is committed to the education and training of evidence-based practitioners who effectively and transformative impact clients’ lives.
