Labor Movements

Have students take a deeper dive into one of the examples from Massachusetts history of the labor movement’s fight for fair wages and conditions (the Lowell Mill Girls, the Bread and Roses Strike, etc.) and identify what conditions the workers were fighting, what they demanded, and what they accomplished. Then have students research a modern labor issue and compare/contrast the issues of that example with the historical examples.
