Have students identify key products and exports of Massachusetts from the various industries of our state both historically and today, identifying which ones are goods (cranberries, fish, etc.) versus services (shipping, tourism, etc.) and the people involved in producing/ providing both. How did this industry begin and develop, and what is its environmental impact? Then have students design and play out a Massachusetts shop where students buy and sell these goods/services.
