Have students examine the timeline through the lens of protest/resistance, discuss the outcome of the actions, and determine whether the desired outcome was achieved. What could they have done if the action didn’t work? Next, have students research protest movements in recent Massachusetts history and today and compare these to the events/ actions of the timeline.
