All textbooks and course materials should be ordered through the Bridgewater State University Online Bookstore.
What's the difference between “Required," “Recommended," and "Suggested" textbooks?
- Required: the item is necessary for the course.
- Recommended: the instructor has suggested an item that may be helpful.
- Suggested: these items are often purchased with the required book, or other students have found the item useful.
Does the Online Bookstore offer price-matching for textbooks?
In most cases, yes! The Online Bookstore will price match textbooks a new, used, or rental textbook within 7 days of purchase from an eligible competitor's website. For more information, please visit the Price Match Guarantee page.
Does the Online Bookstore offer textbook buybacks? Can I sell my old textbook back to the store?
Yes. At the end of each term, the BSU Campus Store will host an on-site textbook buyback event in the store where you can sell your old books. They will also accept books purchased from other vendors. You can also sell unwanted textbooks online year-round through your Online Bookstore website by visiting the Sell Textbooks page. Can I rent textbooks from the bookstore instead of buying them?
Yes. You can save up to 80% by renting your textbooks from the Bridgewater State University Online Bookstore. If you rent a textbook, you can return it at the end of the term in-store at the BSU Campus Store. If at any point you decide you want to buy the book, rent it longer, or drop the class, no worry – options are available in most circumstances.
