Professor Sevigny has been a member of Bridgewater State University's accounting faculty since the inception of the accounting program in 1983. She has taught Financial Accounting, Intermediate Accounting I and II, Accounting Theory (now Advanced Financial Reporting), Cost Accounting, Managerial Accounting, Advanced Accounting and Accounting Seminar. She has taught courses in both the graduate and undergraduate business programs.

Professor Sevigny was actively involved in the creation of the Accounting and Finance Lab at Bridgewater's Academic Achievement Center and currently serves as the Faculty Director supervising the operations of the Lab and the selection of Accounting and Finance tutors.

Professor Sevigny brings significant professional experience to the classroom having served as the Corporate Controller for two manufacturing organizations in the greater Boston area and serving private clients in her own accounting and tax practice for over thirty years. She is a Certified Public Accountant, a Certified Management Accountant and a Certified Internal Auditor. She is a member of the Massachusetts Society of CPAs, the Institute of Management Accountants, the Institute of Internal Auditors, the American Accounting Association and the American Institute of CPAs.

In her spare time, Professor Sevigny enjoys physical fitness including spinning, swimming and yoga. She also enjoys rooting for Boston area sports teams and spending time with her husband, daughters and grandchild.
