Cybersecurity Experiences at BSU

CASE offers hands-on cybersecurity field trips for middle and high school classes. Join us in BSU’s Cyber Range for a day of dynamic investigation and teamwork. Best of all, it is FREE.

Schools provide transportation to and from the program and students/districts must bring lunch. Visits last 4.5 hours, inclusive of a 30-minute lunch.

Game On! The Cybersecurity Challenge (Grades 9-12)

Level Up Gaming needs your help! A cyberattack has threatened the release of their newest game, Galactic Guardians. In this immersive class, designed for high school students, you'll transform into cybersecurity specialists, investigating the attack and learning essential defensive techniques. Industry standard tools used by professionals will be introduced to demonstrate threats such as credential harvesting and key logging. You will work with your team to analyze evidence, discover vulnerabilities, and ultimately, save the game! Get ready for a thrilling adventure into the world of cybersecurity.

Digital Forensics: The Internet Never Forgets (Grades 9-12)

Become a cyber sleuth for a day! Get ready for a high-stakes training session where you'll use digital forensic skills to investigate a major security breach. A popular British politician's quest to return to Parliament is on the verge of being derailed by her daughter’s social media history. Your mission is to find out who accessed the campaign's sensitive data, how it was compromised, and then consult with the campaign manager to limit the potential political damage. This isn't just about privacy; it's a deep dive into the digital footprint, ethical hacking, and crisis management in the age of viral information.

Get ready for an action-packed superhero journey where you’ll master powerful tools like authentication, firewalls, and anti-malware to protect the digital world. Suit up, defend the Academy, and save the Cyber Galaxy! This module is designed for middle school students.
