Advanced Theory and Forms

Prerequisite: MUSC 276 This course is a study in advanced harmony including borrowed and augmented chords, extended and chromatic harmony. Introduction to counterpoint and fugue will be an integral part of the course. Sight-singing, ear-training and keyboard work will further enhance the students' abilities to write, hear and perform music. Offered spring semester.
