Assessment Procedur/Spec Educ

Prerequisite: SPED 510 with a minimum grade of "B" or consent of instructor This advanced assessment course will enable students to identify, administer, analyze, and interpret selected formal and informal assessment instruments to appropriately determine the special needs of individuals. Nondiscriminatory procedures consistent with social, racial and linguistic differences will be emphasized. Case writing to include recommended intervention strategies consistent with assessment results will be stressed. Pre-practicum monitored field-based experiences are required at the level of license sought: PreK-8 or 5-12.
