Classical Mythology

Prerequisite: ENGL 102 This course explores the mythology of Classical Greece and Rome with a focus on the literary accounts of gods and heroes. The course will offer a who's who of the ancient imaginative world, study the main ancient sources of well known stories, and introduce approaches to the study of mythology. The course will also give attention to the afterlife of classical mythology in later literature, the visual arts and popular culture. Offered annually.
