Prerequisite: ELED 120 or PSYC 224 or SPED 208 This course will help students develop a conceptual framework to integrate technology effectively into the PreK-6 classroom. Students will analyze strategies and tools for implementing technology into the PreK-6 classroom and will evaluate these strategies in relation to the Massachusetts Digital Literacy and Computer Science Framework. Students will gain an understanding of developmentally appropriate digital literacy skills for children and will acquire the strategies to use technology to increase learning success in the PreK-6 classroom. This course requires observations in an elementary school, and the school may request a Criminal Offenders Record Information (CORI). Offered fall, spring, summer.
