Elementary Latin I

See the "Foreign Language Placement Policy" on the Global Languages and Literatures Department website. This course is an introduction to Latin and presumes no prior knowledge of the language. The goal of the course is to equip students with most of the skills necessary for reading Latin. Course sessions will be dedicated to analysis of Latin passages designated to reinforce command of basic forms and structures. The course will also provide information about Roman culture and history. Offered fall semester.
