This course provides hands-on training in environmental field instrumentation and geospatial data collection. Students learn principles of scientific measurement, sensor accuracy, and error, along with GPS and surveying techniques. The course covers weather, soil, and water monitoring instruments, data calibration and quality control, and mobile GIS tools such as ArcGIS Survey123 and Field Maps. Students design and implement a field project, analyze collected data and communicate results through professional scientific reports and presentations.
