GIS in Public Agencies

This 1-credit module introduces the practical application of Geographic Information Systems (GIS) in public agencies, including planning departments, utilities, public safety, public health, transportation, and environmental services. Students will explore case studies, review current tools and workflows, and learn how public agencies use GIS to support decision-making, operations, compliance, and community engagement.
