This course will explore the sun, stars, their life cycles, and the galaxies. Theories of the composition and origin of the solar system, the universe and life will be studied. Students observe celestial objects including the moon, sun, planets star, nebulae, and galaxies using the university's observatory. Three hours of lecture, one two-hour laboratory and several viewing sessions weekly. Offered fall, spring, summer.
