Prerequisite: GEOL 225 Corequisite: GEOL 240L This course examines the hydrologic cycle, including precipitation, infiltration, evaporation, transpiration, stream flow and ground-water flow. The laboratory will focus on field measurements with an emphasis on modeling of groundwater flow from a physical and chemical perspective. Basic water laws and regulations, as well as contamination issues are also reviewed. Two hours of lecture and four hours of laboratory weekly. Offered fall semester. (Formerly EASC 240)
