Prerequisite: COMD 220 and COMD 290 This course offers undergraduate students an introduction to Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) and Assistive Technology (AT). A framework for AAC/AT assessment and intervention for individuals with complex communication needs will be provided, with a focus on the use of integrated communication, language, and literacy supports for individuals with various types and levels of disabilities. Offered fall and spring semesters.
