Literacy Seminar

Prerequisites: READ 535 or SPED 501 or TESL 514; and READ 536 and READ 537 and READ 538; and READ 539 or SPED 530 or TESL 504; and READ 551 and READ 553 and READ 556 Literacy educators examine research and theory that supports the delivery of literacy interventions. They explore the various responsibilities related to a reading/literacy specialist including delivering and monitoring effective literacy interventions with striving readers and writers and reporting on student progress to a wide range of educational professionals and families. READ 560 is a companion course to READ 558 or READ 571. May not be audited. Offered fall and spring semesters.
