Live Sound

Prerequisite: MUSC 283 This course emphasizes the creative and technical skills needed to provide audio for musical events through microphones, equalization and dynamics processing. Topics will include concert preparation and teardown, wireless microphone systems, monitor mixing, aligning speaker arrays and managing fast-paced events. On-campus events will provide hands-on experience. Further application to theatre, television and sporting events will be also covered. Offered fall semester.
