This course explores multilingualism by examining writing produced by translingual authors, including memoirs, fiction, poems and interviews. Learners' accounts are situated within contemporary research on second language acquisition and bilingualism. Special attention is given to identity in second language learner (L2) writing, first language learner (L1) as a resource for L2 learning, language learning strategies, educational contexts, and other factors that impact language acquisition.
