Painting II: The Figure

Prerequisite: ARTS 104 with a minimum grade of "C-" and ARTS 125 with a minimum grade of "C-" and ARTS 130 with a minimum grade of "C-" and ARTS 140 with a minimum grade of "C-" and ARTS 230 with a minimum grade of "C-"; and either ARTH 103 with a minimum grade of "C-" or ARTH 104 with a minimum grade of "C-"; or consent of instructor This course will focus on the compositional context of the figure and portraiture from both a historical and contemporary approach. The human form will be studied using both nude and costumed models, using various techniques. Meets six hours weekly. Offered annually. Additional fee required.
