PR Writing & Media Relations

Prerequisite: COMM 517 This course provides a review of the fundamental skills required for the creation, editing and distribution of excellent writing in the context of public relations. Course work focuses on the mechanics of grammar, the development of a professional writing style, how to tailor specific messages for specific audiences, developing effective techniques for collaborative writing and editing, and strengthening students’ ability to analyze peer writing. Offered annually.
