Psychopathology

Prerequisite: CNGC 514 with a minimum grade of "B-", which may be taken concurrently; and matriculation in the MEd in counseling; or consent of instructor This course will provide an examination of the classification system, diagnostic criteria and differential diagnosis according to the current Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM). Attention will be given to issues of diversity, etiology and treatment options. Minimum grade of "B-" to be considered passing. Offered annually.
