Research Problems in Physics

Prerequisite: Not open to freshmen; formal application required The student will conduct an individual research experience over one semester or multiple semesters in collaboration with a faculty member. At the end of each semester, a written progress report must be submitted for review by the supervising faculty member and a presentation is made to the physics faculty and students. Repeatable: may earn a maximum of six credits; up to three credits can count towards physics major electives. Offered fall and spring semesters.
