Prerequisite: PSYC 100; and PSYC 150; and PSYC 201 with a minimum grade of "C"; and PSYC 204 with a minimum grade of "C"; and PSYC 230; or consent of instructor Building upon knowledge and skills grained from Statistics for Psychology (PSYC 201) and Research Methods I (PSYC 204), this course will focus on how to ethically conduct research in psychology, including the development, execution and analysis of an empirical project. Students will conduct at least one research project to demonstrate, apply and extend their knowledge of research methods in psychology. Students will use SPSS statistical software for both descriptive and inferential analyses and write at least one APA-style research paper that includes a literature review, description of methodology, analysis of data, and discussion of the findings. Offered fall, spring, summer.
