Prerequisite: Senior standing and CRJU 330 This course is designed to provide graduating criminal justice majors with a capstone experience, which emphasizes integration of knowledge and skills acquired throughout the criminal justice curriculum. Using an interdisciplinary lens, students analyze critical issues of diversity, inequality and power related to crime and justice. The seminar will require students to demonstrate: 1) comprehensive knowledge of the field of criminal justice; 2) critical thinking skills; 3) effectiveness in oral and written communication; 4) awareness of ethical issues; and 5) knowledge of data sources and the ability to apply criminal justice related information and research.
