Semiconductor Devices

Prerequisite: PHOE 401 or PHYS 416 Students will begin to understand the function, design and fabrication of solid-devices used in photonics and electrical engineering. Topics will include semiconductor device physics, energy band diagrams, electronic devices including p-n junctions, bipolar transistors, field effect transistors, optical waveguides and device models. Offered alternate years.
