Prerequisite: COMM 226 or COMM 247 or consent of instructor This course teaches students to use social media strategically. Topics include selection of appropriate platforms, effective and engaging social media content creation and management, social listening and engagement, and the creation of a digital campaign for a client or organization. Through case studies, interactive sessions and class exercises, students learn best practices and develop the skills to connect business objectives with social media strategy, platforms and tactics. Offered fall and spring semesters.
