Prerequisite: ENGL 101 and ENGL 102 This course provides an introduction to the study of sport and physical activity as social institutions and elements of culture. Major topics include the roles of sport and physical activity in society, the relationship of sport, physical activity and other social institutions and variations in sport across cultures.
