This course introduces the scientific fundamentals of weather systems and how Earth's climate system operates to produce storms and regional patterns of climate. Students will explore topics of Earth-sun relationships, atmospheric circulation, pressure systems, air masses, fronts, cloud formation, precipitation, storms, climate change, and the impacts of weather and climate on society and the environment. Students will track and compare the climate and current weather at different locations around the world. Offered annually.
