Michael is a dad, husband, son, musician, meditator, mediator and criminologist/zemiologist. He earned his MA and PhD in criminal justice at Sam Houston State University. Michael's previous experiences include doing operations research for the Texas Department of Criminal Justice, consulting for a number of police departments, and serving as a tenured professor at Fayetteville State University (UNC).
Area of Expertise
Michael's areas of expertise are criminological, zemiological and organizational theory; peacemaking criminology; conflict-resolution, and justice organizational capacity-building. Most often, Michael is found teaching courses related to ethics, justice policy and administration, social theory, and statistics.
