Kristin R Letendre, Director of Health & Physical Education for the Franklin Public Schools, has been a part-time professor at Bridgewater State University since Spring 2018 and a health, physical education, and biology teacher at Franklin High School since 2005. Kristin holds the prestigious Masters Certified Health Education Specialist (MCHES) certification, is a National Yoga Alliance certified yoga instructor, and a CPR instructor. In 2015, Kristin was awarded the Massachusetts Interscholastic Athletic Association’s Wellness Coordinator of the Year Award.

Since becoming Franklin's Director of Health & Physical Education in 2010, Kristin has been instrumental in implementing health education at the elementary level and growing the health and physical education elective program at Franklin High School. Franklin High School now offers elective courses such as yoga, speed and strength, team sports, kinesiology, athletic training, exercise physiology, nutrition, early childhood education, and adaptive wellness. Additionally, Kristin partners with many school and community organizations to promote overall health and wellness. Kristin is the SADD and Peer Mentoring Advisor as well as an active member of the Substance Abuse Task Force, the Social-Emotional Learning (SEL) Leadership Team, the Norfolk County District Attorney’s School Partnership, and the Franklin School Wellness Advisory Council (SWAC). She is also the founding Director of the High School Experience freshman transition program.
