Dr. Griffes is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) and received both a PhD and a master's degree in Couple and Family Therapy - Human Development and Family Studies. In her work as an educator, researcher, and therapist, she strives to help others develop and maintain healthy relationships and individual well-being across the life course. Dr. Griffes' research focuses on multiple aspects of cross-cultural relationships including relationship education, relationship flourishing, and relationship virtues. She uses both qualitative and quantitative methods and enjoys working with students on research projects related to couple and family relationships. Outside of work, Dr. Griffes enjoys reading, baking, being outside, traveling, and spending many hours learning about different interests (recent interests include indoor plants, low-waste living, charcuterie, and interior design).
