Diane Crowley

Diane Casey Crowley, MSW, LCSW, brings more than 20 years of experience in higher education and social work practice, with expertise in practicum education, student support, program administration, and community partnership development. She has served as director of a satellite campus MSW program and as coordinator of Macro practice and online program practicum education at Boston University School of Social Work. In these roles, she led practicum site development, supported student learning and professional development, and taught graduate-level courses in macro and policy practice. Diane’s career also includes leadership roles in city and state government, and the nonprofit sector. At the Massachusetts Department of Public Health, Bureau of Substance Abuse Services, she held leadership responsibilities in quality assurance, licensing, and contract management for treatment programs statewide. She also provided oversight for specialized initiatives, including services for women and the statewide substance use helpline. Diane directed a community-based nonprofit serving the Allston-Brighton neighborhood of Boston. Across her roles, she has focused on strengthening educational and community partnerships, supporting emerging social work professionals, and improving systems and services for individuals, families, and communities.
Diane lives in Boston with her husband, a dog and a cat, and has two daughters.  In her free time, she enjoys gardening, barre classes and long walks, especially on the beaches of Cape Cod with family and friends.
