Massachusetts media covered two aspects of the Mandela Washington Fellowship for Young African Leaders at BSU. WCVB reported on the fellows’ community service with Dress a Girl Around the World. The Sun Chronicle highlighted a session in which the group learned about an inmate reentry program.

Faculty, Student Research Spotlighted
The Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences wrote about research conducted by biological sciences Professor Joseph Seggio and several students about exposure to bright light at night. Dr. Seggio collaborated with Julie Michaud, Caitlin Waring, Fernanda Medeiros Contini, Meredith Burns, Janessa Quintana, Hannah Deane and Holly Concepcion (all now alumni), and current student John Price on the project.

BSU Co-organizes International Education Conference
BSU professors Jabbar Al Obaidi and Madhu Rao wrote an article in The Jordan Times about the 14th International Conference on Education: Navigating Future Strategies for Advancing Education and Interdisciplinary Perspectives. BSU faculty, staff and students presented at the conference, which was held in Jordan.

Globe Editorials Praise BSU Cybersecurity Initiative
In editorials about the need for school districts and municipalities to be better protected from cyber attacks, The Boston Globe cited BSU's cybersecurity initiative as a "promising" program and "a potential game changer for municipalities." The initiative includes academic programs, training and threat monitoring.
