BSU Early College program

BSU Early College program

Welcome to Bridgewater State University’s Early College program!

The Massachusetts Early College Initiative allows high schools to develop partnerships with nearby colleges and universities to foster a college-going culture and improve student success; especially for those that are traditionally underrepresented on college campuses.

Bridgewater State University is committed to this incredible opportunity and looks forward to collaborating with high schools throughout southeastern Massachusetts. If you are a high school administrator interested in partnering with Bridgewater State, please email earlycollege@bridgew.edu to express interest in partnering with us. Our staff will be excited to help.

If you are a student at a partner high school and need to start your enrollment process in BSU’s Early College program, please confirm your plans with your school and they will provide you with the link to the application.

If you are a high school student interested in taking a BSU course, but your high school is not yet one of our partner schools, learn more about the Dual Enrollment program here. More+

All students participating in an Early College course at Bridgewater State will participate in an Orientation program at the start of their first semester. This session will include how to access their University email address and login to the University's online services, some tips for success, and an explanation of the University’s available services. For students taking classes on campus at BSU, the orientation will include a Campus Tour and, potentially, an opportunity to hear from current BSU students who participated in the Early College program.

The Early College staff at the high school will provide more details.
Partner schools will bring participating students to the Bridgewater State campus for “College Knowledge” field trips. These visits will include a tour of Bridgewater State’s campus and information sessions to help students understand and prepare for their post-secondary planning process.

Early College staff at the high school will provide additional details.
