Founded by Horace Mann in 1840 as the first permanently sited teacher education program in the country, Bridgewater State University has always been a central contributor to educator preparation. The College of Education & Health Professions extends this tradition by offering undergraduate and graduate courses designed for students who aspire to be leaders in the education and human services fields. Our programs foster lifelong learning and prepare graduates to excel in a diverse and ever-changing world.


BSU received a commendation from the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education in recognition of our outstanding partnerships with our network of professional development schools in Gateway cities surrounding BSU.
