BSU reaches out to alumni, parents, and friends in a variety of ways. The purpose of an email, letter or postcard is to provide you with information regarding the university while also inviting you to participate in a variety of programs, events and engagement opportunities.
If you have questions or comments about our programs or want to join a reunion committee or affinity group, please email email@example.com.
The Commonwealth of Massachusetts provides only a portion of what is necessary to do what we do at BSU. Since the 1980's, state funding has dropped drastically from 80% to 20%
The balance of the budget falls on the shoulders of students and their families in the form of fees. Your gift will provide direct help for students who struggle to make ends meet while financing their education through job wages and loans.
Yes, your gift to BSU Foundation is tax-deductible to the extent allowable by law.
The Bridgewater State University Foundation is a nonprofit IRC Sec. 501(c)(3) organization that is structurally separate from Bridgewater State University and exists solely for the benefit of BSU, serving as the conduit for philanthropic contributions to the university.
Through planned giving, you can make a charitable gift now or after your lifetime based on assets in your estate. A gift from your estate can provide the University with significant future support while preserving the flexibility you need to take care of yourself and your loved ones. A planned gift can be as simple as adding BSU as a beneficiary on an existing account or including us in your will. Certain planned gifts can also give you immediate tax benefits and guaranteed income for life.
If you have questions please contact Mary Abbott, Major Gift Officer, at 508.531.1288 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
