Campus

Membership as a BSU alumnus/a is automatic and free, upon graduation from Bridgewater.

The Bridgewater Alumni Association is its own nonprofit organization that is structurally separate from Bridgewater State University and exists solely for the benefit of BSU. A small group of alumni form the association's leadership board. The BAA board meets regularly to produce programming that:

  • Provides news about the university and its graduates
  • Organizes and encourages reunions
  • Awards scholarships to students and supports faculty teaching and research
  • Honors the accomplishments of its members and the university faculty
  • Offer philanthropic support to the University

Annually, the BAA holds a public meeting as well as hosting the Alumni Awards Dinner.

BSU Alumni receive discounts on all university-branded merchandise at the Follet bookstore located inside the East Campus Commons. Can't make the trip? You can find our online store here.

Alumni can use their BSU Connect Card to access the Clement C. Maxwell Library to read and borrow books, periodicals, and reference materials.

All degree-holding alumni from Bridgewater are eligible to purchase a membership to the state-of-the-art, Thornburg Fitness Center  . Please visit or call the Jones Alumni House  (26 Summer Street, Bridgewater) or call 508-531-1290 to verify alumni status and obtain authorization for usage. Once you receive authorization, the next step is to obtain a BSU Connect Card from the Connect Card office located on the ground floor of the Hunt Building. The final step is to fill out a membership application and a physical activity readiness questionnaire (PAR-Q). Alums who receive a gym membership are also eligible for a parking pass during the duration of their membership.

Need a transcript? It's easy with Parchment's electronic delivery. Create an account and you'll get your official transcripts digitally delivered within hours for just $7.50. Contact the Registrar's Office to learn more about E-Transcripts.

Bridgewater Magazine is published twice a year by the university and is mailed to all alumni free of charge. You can also read past editions online.
