Region V, formerly called the South Shore Region, is the largest educational region in the Commonwealth, encompassing schools in 75 cities and towns – including the cities of Brockton, Newton, Quincy, and Weymouth, and the towns of Weston, Provincetown, Natick, Plymouth, Easton, and many more. The region runs from the Atlantic Ocean west to beyond Interstate 95, and from Cape Cod and the islands of Martha’s Vineyard and Nantucket north to the Mass Pike. Region V also includes 14 regional high schools, and every private and parochial school in Boston.
