Travel to Gillette - Commencement

You should plan on some traffic delays traveling into Foxborough to Gillette Stadium. As a reminder to guests, it is recommended you plan your arrival no earlier than the stadium access time listed for your ceremony. This will reduce the traffic you may experience and all guests with tickets are guaranteed a seat in the stadium.

Once at Gillette, police officers, parking attendants and/or signage will direct you to parking lots. Graduates and guests will park and enter the stadium at different lots and entrances.

Directions to Gillette Stadium

Gillette Stadium is located in Foxborough, Massachusetts, 29 miles southwest of downtown Boston and 25 miles northeast of downtown Providence, Rhode Island.

From Boston:

From I-93 South (S.E. Expressway) take Exit 1 to merge onto I-95 South (Providence). Take Exit 9 onto Route 1 South. Follow Route 1 South approximately 3 miles to Gillette Stadium, which will be on the left.

From Cape Cod:

From I- 495 North take Exit 14A onto Route 1 North. Follow Route 1 North approximately 4 miles to Gillette Stadium, which will be on the right.

From Maine, New Hampshire:

Take I-128 South to I-95 South. Take Exit 9 onto Route 1 South. Follow Route 1 South approximately 3 miles to Gillette Stadium, which will be on the left.

From Northern Connecticut, Vermont, Upstate New York:

Take I-90 East (Massachusetts Turnpike) to I-495 South. Take Exit 14A onto Route 1 North. Follow Route 1 North approximately 4 miles to Gillette Stadium, which will be on the right.

From Southern Connecticut, Rhode Island:

Take I-95 North to I-495 North. Take Exit 14A onto Route 1 North. Follow Route 1 North approximately 4 miles to Gillette Stadium, which will be on the right.

Parking Information

Guests may park in Lots 3, 4, 5 at Gillette Stadium (see map below) for all ceremonies.

Overflow parking and entrance for Undergraduate ceremonies (Saturday) will be in Lot 22 (see map below).

Admittance

A valid ticket must be presented for admission to the ceremony. Tickets are accepted on mobile devices or as printed tickets. The unique barcode on this ticket allows only one entry to the event. The first copy of an E-Ticket (if there are multiple copies made) to arrive at the gate will gain entry after scanning and validation. Other copies of this ticket will be denied entry.

Guests will enter at the Ticketmaster gate (all ceremonies) or the CVS Heath entrance (overflow for Saturday’s Ceremonies ONLY). Stadium gates open for guest seating one and a half hours prior to each ceremony. Please arrive early to locate parking and be seated prior to the start of the procession. Graduates, faculty and platform party begin processing 25 minutes prior to ceremony start time, all guests should be in their seats at that time.

Guests requiring accessibility accommodations are asked to complete an Accessibility Request Form prior to April 28. The form will be available beginning March 28. Those who complete a form will be contacted by staff with more information related to admittance and seating.

Stadium policy prohibits readmission to individuals who exit the stadium.

We encourage both graduates and guests to watch the weather forecast and dress accordingly to the ever-changing New England weather. Keep in mind the stadium is outdoors and graduate and guests will be exposed to the elements.
