Academic Programs - Health and Kinesiology

Bridgewater State University’s health science bachelor’s degree program combines courses in health science, psychology and science to prepare you for a versatile career in a large, interdisciplinary healthcare field. The Department of Health and Kinesiology offers six bachelor of physical education degrees, public health and exercise physiology degrees and four unique minors that help you learn how to promote the health and well-being of individuals — and communities. Our two postbaccalaureate programs are designed for people with a bachelor’s degree in any discipline who wish to become licensed as a teacher of physical education (PreK-8 or 5-12) in Massachusetts. The MS graduate degree programs are designed for people with an undergraduate major in physical education or related discipline who are currently working under an initial license and want to get the skills and knowledge needed for professional licensure.
