BSU Cape Cod Non-Credit & Professional Development 

Discovering the Cape Cod Shoreline

Saturdays: April 27, May 4, 11 and 18, 8:30 am - 12:30 pm
BSU Cape Cod Campus
Cost: $149.00

Learn about the marine plants and animals along the Cape shoreline, their ecology, and the diverse habitats in which they are found. Participants will explore the sandy beaches, salt marshes, sand dunes, tide pools, and rocky areas of the Cape. The class will include several field walks to local ecosystems to discover the fascinating diversity of life at the edge of the sea. All participants will learn to identify and preserve seaweeds, distinguish the characteristics of marine invertebrates, and study the unique adaptations of life along the shore. No previous knowledge of marine science is needed and the workshop is open to anyone age 16 and older.
